Four volumes of records of dinners (and some luncheons) attended by Morgan Gardner and Fannie (Houghton) Bulkeley while Morgan was serving as Senator from Connecticut. Each entry notes the guests, including guests of honor, and the location of the meal. Often the seating chart is filled in and occasionally notes were made regarding decorations and music. The food consumed was not recorded. A Republican, Bulkeley held a variety of political offices, including Governor of Connecticut. He also served as president of Aetna and was the first president of the National League of Base Ball Clubs.
